Lumia 920 problem with mic when headphones plugged in.

Hi,

I have a lumia 920, and the microphone doesn't work when there is a headset plugged-in. The flash also doesn't work. I took it to the Microsoft store and the guy just did a soft or hard reset and said it should work now but it didn't. I've sent it to Nokia twice and the second time they said it there was phys damage or water damage so the warranty is void.

Has anyone had similar issues? Is there a way to fix this? Are there any instructions on how to open the phone? And would it be too complicated for a non-techie?

Those two seem to be the ones most mentioned. I'm sure there are other places as well.
