Amber update on france without mobile operator

My brothers Lumia is from france but in the mobile operator line is written 000-FR so how can i know when he will get the update?
I mean in the Nokia support what operator i need to check ?

He should have already got it, it went live a few weeks ago, it is an unbranded phone, it will be listed as France country variant or cv

I have exactly the same variant, no update so far. With Portico I have been waiting till March, when I got the update, then, 1308, I got in April.

Hey,
I have the same problem.... no Amber update available.
I'm Hungarian, live in Hungary... I ordered my phone from the internet, it came from London I think but it has a French software...
Everything in the phone's settings is set to Hungary (country + region, language, etc...) Could this be the problem (what if I change region to France)?

Update:
I've had sent a message to the local (Hungarian) Nokia team on their Facebook page, and they've said that the deadline for EVERY wp8 phone to get Amber update is the end of September.
I still doubt that everything is going allright as planned with the update rollout, but it seems we have to wait for a maximum of 3 more weeks...

Yupp Amber confirmed. Had a notification in the morning, but sadly didn't have time, nor WiFi near me to update the phone till about 30 mins ago
