Hello,

Long story short, at the age of 30, my wife is getting kicked off her parents family plan and we now have to pay for her plan. We are both on At&t. I have my own plan and she is on At&t but now off contract.

We have to move her number to either my account or get her own. With my company discount, a family plan with 500m of data for her, and 2.5 gigs of data with unlimited minutes and text is going to run about $76 per month before taxes.

I currently pay $120 on At&t for one line!

That is a $50 difference before we take in the cost of a new device (downpayment plus the monthly device cost until we pay it off)

I want to keep my Lumia 920, and the 925 on T-Mobile I find f-ugly with the white back and only 16 gigs won't cut it. Does anybody have a 920 on T-Mobile and what data speeds are you getting? Edge, LTE, also if you only get edge do you get edge even thou LTE is available in your market?

You may want to check out AIO Wireless. Unlimited Talk and Text and 2 Gigs of data for $50 INCLUDING taxes and fees. And it runs on AT&T's network. Plus, you 'should' be able to get LTE speeds according to their tech support. Going to switch my 920 over to them from Straight Talk tomorrow. 7 Gigs of data is only $70 all inclusive!

I'm in Chicago, using an unlocked ATT Lumia 920 on T-Mobile. You can see a sample of various speeds I've achieved in the attached imagespeedtest.jpg

I don't know if Nokia has global warranty policies or not, if not you might consider buying a 920 from AT&T IMO. Tmo also has LTE too (depends on where you live).

With my company discount I will pay $76 per month plus taxes and fees for two lines. So yes around $40 per line is cheaper.

Can't answer your question about speeds of the phone you want, but my one line on T-Mo is $50/mo with 500MB (throttled after that) and unlimited everything else. They keep sending me emails trying to get me to add another identical line for $30/mo. If you add another after that, its $10/mo. So for 2 lines its basically $40/mo.

Check AT&T's family share plan I pay $150/month for 6GB data and unlimited talk and text. I have Lumia 920 and wife has iPhone 5 (needless to say both are LTE devices). I too get discount on bill from my work.

I'm on T-Mobile with an AT&T 920. If you are in a re-farmed T-Mobile area with good coverage, it works very well. If you are not in a re-farmed area you would only get edge. I could be wrong, but I think all area's that T-Mobile has rolled out LTE are re-farmed, but it is something to consider if you travel a lot.

My speeds are awesome! I have recently re-imaged my phone so I don't have a lot of screen shots. 3g I typically get 5 or 6 Mbps down and .3 or so up. H+ I typically get 11Mbps to 13Mbps down and 1.3 or 1.5Mpbs up. On LTE I get anywhere from 11 Mbps to 20 Mbps down and higher up speeds, but they are all over the place, from 5Mbps to 17 Mbps up.

Regarding speeds, I can Skype on LTE with high quality audio and video sent to the other side.

I'm on the T-Mobile $30 prepay plan that comes with 100minutes and unlimited texts with 5GB of LTE and then throttled to 2G. It's only been 2 months and I have yet to get near the 5GB cap.

I love the phone and I'm happy with the speeds I get in town. I may not love it as much if I ever spend a long time in an area that is not upgraded and I'm stuck on 2G.

T-Mobile uses LTE band IV 1700/2100 and that is already enabled on the AT&T, what is not enabled is the 1700 AWS band that you need to 3G and H+. If you are in a T-Mobile LTE area 3G and H+ are already re-farmed to the 1900 MHz band and the AT&T 920 supports that. This is my set up and it works out great.

I have tried flashing everything I can get my hands on to enable the 1700 AWS band and so far I don't think I have had luck, but honestly I won't be able to verify until I know I"m in a zone that is not re-farmed and I have another T-Mobile phone to verify they are picking up 3G or H+.

I tried all these not necessarily in the listed order, but ended up with AT&T dev because the last flash to Rogers Amber was unstable for some reason.

How much are taxes and fees or is it $150 including them?
