I'm always skeptical in terms of new though I don't actually know how I would tell the difference.

Perhaps measuring current drop across certain components on the phone to see if they are within normal eg. life span and current drop ... anyway

That's also kind of depressing to hear. I am always sad when the once "greatest thing" is available shamefully low prices... there must be a catch... why a penny?
