Lumia 920 - still good phone for buy ?

i donot own both the phones, but there are friends having both, which i have tried.
with Nokia Camera App, there is no issue about imaging in 920 at all. it works awesome.
if u r comfortable with the size and weight of 920, it is a still nice one to buy. u r not getting some extra ordinary in 925.
920 is an excellent piece of hardware.

I go to L920, after readings a lot of comparsions and videos I realized I like L920 design. Also lower price and fact that L925 is not so much better.

Weight wont be problem ( i had Xperia SP - 155 g, soI thing 180G for L920 wont be much diference)

Excellent choice. I still love the L920, my son just got one. He loves it, and it holds up well. The picture quality is still very good.

925 has an extra lens, so your pictures might be sharper. But it lacks wireless charging, which makes it lighter.

They're not sharper, my friend has a 925 and the picture quality is the same

Just get a 920. The 925 isn't that much different. I just upgraded from my 920 to a 1020 since I do some Graphic Design and want to do some editing/crop work. The 920 still has a better camera than most phones.

If I could go back in time I would not buy this phone again. The camera is important to me because I don't want to lug around an SLR everywhere I go. Even the iPhone 4s' camera smokes the 920.

The 920's beauty is its perfection. I had a white one, gave it to my brother and got another red one. Would've got the 1520 if it was a 5 incher.

totally agree. it is a beautful device w/ perfect form factor. importantly, camera gives me superb results. zero software bugs and zero hardware issues. even sweeter was the ?200 price i paid nov 13 for my white 920. brand new. simfree.

You posted the 925 and the 920 picture quality are the same. This review says the 925 takes much better pics than the 920. I hate cell phone camera reviews in general due to the fact most of the pics on modern cellphone cameras all look about the same to me. 920 is still a solid phone and I'm looking forward to 8.1 and another year of use.

920 is still a decent phone. Though it's a 2012 flag ship there is nothing new in lumia 925 except one extra lense making 6 lenses in camera, light weight with aluminum bezels. Lumia 920 have 32gb flash storage when compared to 925 with 16gb , no micro SD card in both of them. Lumia 920 has wireless charging built into the phone , reason for being to heavy where as 925 does not have this making it light weight. Also polycarbonate is more robust where as aluminum is more prone to scratches.i still love my lumia 920 and will keep it until a true successor of 9X is available. I don't think 925 was a successor to 920 in 2013. They just made some cosmetic changes. Both have the exact same hardware.

I agree with this, I have not upgraded yet because none of the others have wireless charging. People who haven't had a 920 don't know what it's like to have wireless charging so they can't imagine being without it. It's such a handy feature I never want to give it up. I bought this camera for 2 main reasons, the camera stabilisation and Windows Phone 8, but now I would say I want it for Windows 8 and the wireless charging.

The Lumia 920 is a beast of a phone, it'll go down in Windows Phone (and mobile) history as a venerable trailblazer. It brought to the market super sensitive touch, wireless charging, premium quality camera (for its time) alongside Windows NT on mobile. It's weird, but I feel as though I bought it in Fall 2013, when in truth I got it in Fall 2012.

After readings all about camera quality loss after update, I think I wait until fix it or new better model... because now its look like average phone ( i now have HTC One S, and i worry about camera, after update its seems lumia have worse photo quality and thats not upgrade for me.)

I have switched from 900 to 920 mainly because the upgrade would bring me latest os, twice the ram and twice the cpu power. I am happy about overall performance and batery consumption. The photo camera is awesome, an the fact that this phone is quite "busty" is not an issue. I have nokia cc-1043 all the time, and when i put it down it becomes slimmer then ever. U love the phone si far. The price and overall package is awesome. Deffinitely the best phone for,230 euro

I used to have a 925, I took it back and bought a 920. Reasons:

-Very Low Cheap, tinny volume on 925 speaker.. the 920 is a big phone and the speaker echoes in the body.. making it louder, clearer and richer.
-I found the 6 Lens camera.is worse quality than the 920 cam, the 6th lense would over-expose pics the zoom on the 925 is really bad
- Battery was worse on 925
- No wireless charging
- AMOLED Pentile display (Pentile displays have a reputation of going faulty after 6 months)
-16GB of storage.. 14GB usable, compared to 32GB, 29.5GB usable, which you need if shooting 1080p video.

I think this would be my last windows phone unless they will fix the camera algorithms in the next 8.1 update. They are so hyped about adding a lot of features but they forget to fix the main features of lumia.

and the 920 vs 925 argument well they are pretty identical the 925 is probably just better in the camera department by like 5%.

I'd go with the phone with more storage aka the 920. Both have no micro sd support so storage would be important and trust me a 16 gb phone wouldn't cut it. 32gb is probably the safe line but it's still not enough for me because of my music so I just make playlists although I prefer bringing all of my music (~80gb) so for my next update, I will upgrade to a WP Phone with micro sd support.
