Transparent tile for Lumia 920

Hi everybody!

I've been seeing some buzz going around about transparent tiles and a background photo on the Start menu being introduced with Windows 8.1 and I'm trying to find out how to get these on my L920. It appears to have updated itself to Windows 8.1, but there aren't any new options in Settings -> Theme.

Am I wasting my time rummaging through the Internet, or am I missing something fundamental?

Hey , windows phone 8.1 isn't available yet , it will be announced in 4 hours at build conference , at moment with windows phone 8.0 you can set your theme from dark to light and 20-21 accent colors for your live tiles.

OK, thanks, guys! The last update to my Windows looked like 8.1, but perhaps it isn't. I have no idea. I just hope Windows 8.1 will allow me to so something with the Start screen if my phone updates to it

You can always check your phone for updates by going into phone settings -> phone updates ->check for updates.
And if you want to check which version of windows phone you are running on your lumia 920 . Go to phone settings ->about->(if you want in-depth info tap on more information ). :smile:

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to a technical *****. I checked the version and it's still Windows 8 - I had actually looked at that section in Settings, but hadn't read it properly - total dyslexia!

Is expected to be seeded by Microsoft in May 2014 and they will. Show windows phone 8.1 today (3 hour to go ) at build conference.
