Slow shutterspeed produces over exposed image

Hello guys, recently I've been playing around with camera settings such as shutter speed,wb,a/m focus and many more in nokia camera. Then I noticed that slower shutter speed will produce almost white blurry image and vice versa. My question is,is it normal for a camera to behave like that or otherwise because if I am not mistaken slower shutter speed will allow the lens to get more light and fast moving object will be blurred but not white image.Could someone please explain a lil bit on this?
