Moved to 920 subforum.

1. Nope! Hardly the unluckiest. There are phones that have seen much worse. (for example, WP7 phones, especially ones released in 2012, webOS phones when the company & people behind it folded, Palm OS and Windows Mobile phones when OS updates were a lot more rare, iPod touches where OS updates were paid until iOS 4 came around.)

2. The 920's hardware is still something. I wouldn't mind it with more recent software.

To be fair though, the 920 and Nexus 4 were released around the same time and it got its last update to 5.1 Lollipop around the middle of 2015. The 920 ended with 8.1 Update 1 which... oh never mind.

Not anymore. They removed the 920 from the Insider Program at the end of July when the anniversary update came out. The only way to get it now on a 920 is by hacking the registry to make it look like a supported phone.

Not that hard to do. And W10 AU runs beautifully on it. It's still my everyday main phone, just can't resist the urge to look at my cyan 920 times and times again.
