Took a couple of photos on my lunch. Photos were taken through the standard 925 camera with auto settings.

Might try out the panoramic shot next week.

Started to take a few shots with my 925. How come when i take a photo or 2 and then go and view them in photos, the quality doesn't look as good as i thought it would? Photos were just taken using auto settings. So its probably just my photography skills

Did you compare your photos with the photos in this thread?
Otherwise the 925 camera is IMHO pretty mediocre IMHO
Don't expect too much.
Despite the PureView branding the 925 camera is lightyears worse than the real PureView 808.

1020 > 808 > 1520 > 925 > A LOT of cheap dedicated camera > All smartphones (Samsung, others Nokia, HTC, Apple, etc etc etc).

That's mediocre for you?

808 > 1020 > Galaxy S4/Note3 > iPhone 5S > iPhone 5 > Galaxy S/3Note2 > Sony Z1 > LG G2 > 920 > 925 Maybe not mediocre but low-end...

All IMHO of course :) I love my 925 too :)

Nokia Black Nokia Camera Auto

Nokia Black Proshot ev -0.3

Nokia Amber Nokia Camera Auto

Nokia Amber (unfortunately summer, + too much overexposed on auto settings)

Don't have 2 devices so no direct comparison possible :)

Not too much changes IMHO... maybe a bit sharper after Black update in 100% view but maybe it's the different perspective / light situaton

Whoa, take it easy, guys. Different people have different tastes when it comes to photos. A person may not like the, say, yellowish look of photos taken with the Amber firmware, or the natural look of the Black firmware.

Let's just use this thread the way it was intended to: a place to post photos, and post commentary regarding the photos.

You're right! Sorry for that. And we have to respect others opinions even when looks absurd. Sorry for that too!

I'm a mobile photography freak. I own the 808, 925, iPhone 4 and 5 (4s + 5s my girlfriend), Nokia N8 and N86, Nokia N9 as current devices. I had the HTC Onex X as well.
I would sya the 925 only beats the One X and N9.

I read 100s of reviews and comparisons. I don't protect one device coz I spent my money on it and dont want to belive that there are better out there.

From all the phone cameras I like the 808 most of course. Everything else is a joke :) (maybe 1020 with Black is as good but I dont like the images overall I have to look at some Black reviews first)

Technically, you are claiming the 925 is the greatest given the direction of your greater than symbols.

I haven't tried all those phones, but my fianc? does have the iPhone 5, and I did own last years Sony Xperia flagship. My experience thus far is more positive with the Lumia 925, however I haven't done formal tests just yet. That being said, the iPhone does take excellent auto pictures, but I'm sure that the Lumia 925 has the ability to take better pictures if you are savvy enough to control the camera manually.

Iphone 5 photo is overexposed. A LOT. Distanct objetcs are really bad. Really bad. And noise... A LOT of noise.

Lumia photo is WAY better. Less noise, more details, correctly exposed, ... A good photography. Not great, but good. In MANUAL settings you could have taken a picture still MUCH better.

My girlfriend have a Iphone 5s. Very bad photo quality. VERY bad, i can't even compare with my coworker Lumia 720.
