I just picked up my 925 and so far so good. As far as functionality is concerned it's not a drastic change from the L920 I had before but the form factor is great. The TMo store in Los Feliz had a working demo, cases and screen protectors in stock. Turns out I was the first buyer at that store. The thing I first noticed on the demo was how dirty the white back was... I swear it looked like it had been out for several months as opposed to a few hours. Ended up buying a D30 case for it but I might ditch it as I like the phone more without it on.

Depends on if you have a L920. If so I'd say its a 50/50 toss up to make the change.

For me I was able to sell my L920 + charging plate for close to $450 so I only paid a $80 + tax, difference to get the L925.

As much as I loved my Red L920 the L925 with it aluminum body is sleek and a fair bit lighter. Like the multi colored L920 it's an attention grabber. I was just at Whole Foods and this girl and her friend behind me chatted me up about the phone and how much they really liked it more then their iPhone's.

Have any pics of the D3O case for it? Wonder if it's worth buying that over the wireless charging back as a protective case. I'm a big Otterbox fan but I doubt they'll be making anything for this.

Here you go. It's very lightweight and protects the phone tremendously... the orange lining is actually designed to disperse the energy from a fall. I had a D3O on my Blackberry and it worked like charm.

I think it's the lock screen colors clashing with the case colors. Change the lock screen and the theme color and it will look better.

Actually the case isn't that bad, the lock screen setup the way it is does make it clash.

The salesperson tried to sell me that case. I declined. Translucent smokey gray with orange accents just wasn't doing it for me. If they would have had the same in solid colors, other than the pink and purple other brands sported, maybe I would have gone with it.

That said, I do wish T-Mobile would have chosen the black model. I have already had to clean the white back a couple times. Sharp looking phone when it's clean, though.

Did anyone buy a pack of T-Mobile-branded screen protectors? Do they seem to be the right size? Mine don't seem to be as large as they should be, maybe to account for the slight curve in the glass, IDK. I double-checked the package. Almost got the pack for the 521 instead.

Otherwise, totally loving this phone. The salesperson who handled all the details is in the market for a new phone. She admitted to not know too much about Windows Phone, but after seeing mine light up to verify all was working, she lit up and said she is now thinking of getting one for herself.

My mom bought some of the T-mobile branded screen protectors and the sales guy told her they were made smaller on purpose so that if she got a case it wouldn't push up the sides of the screen protector. I personally, was not a fan of the way that screen protector looked on the phone at all.

The problem with the traditional PET based film is that they won't conform to curves. The more expensive PU films will if you add a bit of heat, but they are not as slick. Skinomi are a couple others make the PU screen protectors. They run about $10-12 EACH.

I agree on the black back model for sure. However I figure this case was better than nothing and if I find something better I could always return it. Just order the charging cover in Red and in Yellow.

I just looked and they only seem to make a snap hard case. Personally I didn't have any case on my Red L920 - I honestly don'y think you need one for the 920.
