Has anyone tries to put the 925 on to AT&T yet? And if so, how dos ot perform in terms of connectivity? The phone seems awesome, and I just don't know if I need the 1020 at this point, and the 920 is too hefty.

I doubt connectivity will change between 925 and 920. They are both 4G enabled and the only difference seems better camera, lighter dimensions. Nothing physically has changed in terms of radios on 925.

The L925 has AWS bands for it's 3G whereas AT&T does not. If you bring over your L925 to AT&T you'll be stuck on Edge.

In reverse when I brought over my L920 from AT&T to T-Mobile, I got LTE and 4G/3G in reframed areas only... in non-reframed areas I was stuck on Edge and it stunk.

that is what thought. This whole carrier system with all their variances with bands and alterations to phones is just dumb!

That's not entirely correct. The T-Mobile 925 supports AT&Ts HPSA+ band, so you will get up to 41Mbps speeds on AT&T. However, yes, you won't get LTE.

From what I am finding, there are three versions of the 925 (this is from gsmarena). It claims three models, the RM-892, the RM-893, and the RM-910. From what I can see, the 892 is the European version and does not support 3G (except in refarmed areas) or LTE on T-Mobile. The 910 is an HSPA+ only version of the phone.

    The 893 appears to be the T-Mobile version of the phone and appears to support 3G on both AT&T and T-Mobile (has HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 frequencies; AT&T uses 850 and 1900, T-Mobile uses 1700 and 2100). As for LTE, they show the phone supports LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100; AT&T uses 700 and 1700 (channels 17 and 4) and T-Mobile 1700 (channel 4).

So is gsmarena wrong, or am I missing something? Because if I am looking at the specs correctly, the T-Mobile 925 should work on AT&T (both 3G and LTE).

My understanding matches your interpretation, so no, I don't think you're missing anything.

Well that's not correct, it's TMO not AT&T.

I had mine unlocked over customer service chat. Granted when I first tried it that's when they told me the handset had to be paid off. So I paid it off, waited a day and then they gave me the unlock code within a few mins of making the request.

I'll see if I can borrow a friends AT&T microSim this weekend so I can do a quick test to see how it works. Oh and I won't forget to change the APN settings before reporting back.
