Sim is not recognized

Hi

I just my got mt new lumia 925 today, but I can't seem to activate my sim card by any way.
I inserted it as describe in nokia site, but it keeps giving me a "SIM error" saying that a sim card is missing or invalid.
I tried with two different sim cards but the same story.
My phone should be unlocked as it been bought in a private store in HK, and in the extra+info it says that Mobile Operator is - 000-HK so iguess that isn't the problem

Bad SIM(s) -if it wasn't unlocked you'd get a message asking you to enter a PIN
with a warning that you have 10 attempts to enter the correct PIN code or it could be locked forever...:shocked:
if you don't get that message it's "mostly likely" unlocked
BUT find a phone(s) with a known working SIM
( a friend or two ) and see if it will work and connect to the network.
