Switched the whole family over to TMO last night. Went from an 8X on VZW to the 925 on TMO. Not much of an upgrade, but I at least can get the Nokia apps and my wife has a phone that works now (the Note 3; her 8X on VZW was a piece of junk although mine was fine). I thought I'd read before jumping that TMO had released GDR3 but I guess I didn't read carefully enough so that was on me.
Anyway, I decided to install the GDR3 by unlocking my phone with the dev tools and a dev account. It's not a stretch for me since I make my living building software on mostly MS platforms and had even created the UI and a small bit of functionality for a game on the WP7 platform (never finished or published.) So far, it's working just fine. If anything "bad" happens (which I don't expect) I'll post an update.
