Is it possible to install tmobile rom on att 925?

I'm thinking about purchasing 925 to use it as a sub to my nexus 5 (tmobile)
I know its simpler to just buy tmobile 925 (199 @ hsn) but I much prefer black to white, and there's a local seller selling mint att 925 for under 200.

I read somewhere they're basically same phone with different rom enabling/disabling frequencies.

thanks in advance.

Most likely not necessary.
Just unlock and go.

That would work for most all the features, but t-mobile also has the WiFi calling, that requires their own rom version. The t-mobile hardware is 925.3 and MAY have some variation that would be necessary for some carrier features to work.
I've considered going this route: New Back Battery Door Housing Cover Case for Nokia Lumia 925 2 Colours | eBay
However don't feel like spending nearly $10 just to change the color of the back, especially since I have a case on it, and very little white shows through.
