can anyone tell me what is 2.8 GB space of storage for setting????
what about 1.5 GB of other?
my phone is lumia 925.

please help me and tell how should I free up them?
why it took so much space?

It could be any number of things with the settings. Have you cleared out the cache in IE? Run Storage Check? That might help. Your "Other" will probably shrink if you do that.

It's a combination of all App storage, some that is clearable and some that is not. The biggest offenders for me on the dreaded "Other" box were OneDrive - thumbnails and images download to this area - including videos, People Tile - all of the photo and social network data downloads to this section and Bing Search data.

There really isn't a way to keep in clear, but keeping the 'downloading services' to a minimum, it should keep the other folder under control.

Looks as though you may have installed 8.1...

Lumia storage check beta isn't what I consider as reliable.

Try a soft reset (hold volume down and off button for 10 seconds)
Check after device reboots to see if "other" has been cleared.

Some suggestions on the thread are good. But no. In WP 8.1 preview. You should be able to connect to your computer to get rid of these. I haven't try it no need too. I am also on NL 925. Let us know how it goes.
