I did already a hard reset, this would not solve..
Do you have any specific reason to believe this would be effective now?
I think is a software issue.

Does your camera show a black screen or directly crashes?

It tries to open the APP, let's say Nokia Camera, the "loading.." text appears and then it crashes.
instead of actually opening the app it crashes.

U hv cleared the background tasks?? Normally a hard reset does the trick..

Oh yea.. I remember.. It happened with my nokia smart cam app.. The same problem.. I deleted the app.. And downloaded from store again.. It did the trick..

I tried following already

- hard reset
- removed all CAMERA APPS prenintalled and downloaded them form scratch
- updated all services
- cleared all background tasks through battery sense + reboot

still happening. I wonder if more users are experiencing the same issue.

My frontal camera snaps but don't save the photos taken to the library...

Just tried rear camera and not working as well... PANIC! The last update I remember doing today was HP AiO Remote Beta, Network+, Display!
Anything related? This is seriously bad!

It was because my phone rebooted and then time and date was wrong. I think was cause of this because after I set it started to save pics again.

Ive got this same problem on my Lumia 920. its really annoying as it seems that only rebooting the phone solves it sometimes. but then later on it will randomly not work when i launch the camera app
