Underscore '_' character in email address for text message?

Hello,

New convert from Android who is loving my Nokia 928. The one thing that is driving me crazy is that I can't figure out how to insert a '_' character inti the 'to' for a text message when I am trying to send a text to an email address. I need to enter something like 'friend_email@verizon.net'. I can't find the underscore character on the keyboard and I've looked everywhere.

Any pointers appreciated.

Hold down the "." and you'll see "_" as an option in the popup.

Hit the button to bring up the numbers and symbols ("&123"), then just above it, hit that big arrow pointing to the right. In that same row, you will find the underscore, to the right of the equal sign (=) and above the space bar.

I have an email address with an underscore and it was driving me crazy, too...

That's the - not the _
You have to go to the #'s page then hold down the - and you will get a popup with the _ and others.

Yep, you are right, my solution is for the keyboard in standard mode.

Finding the underscore key was difficult for me, too, also when I was entering a email username that includes a _. It should not be so hard to find.
