Tested the S4 @ Verizon and was getting steady 30mbs down and 16 up but I'm getting only 5-6 down and 6 up. Any reason the 928 is so much slower?

Did you test the 928 in the same location as the S4?

I did, tested my own and the floor model. Also tested a HTC 8x with similar results.

I find LTE speeds vary greatly by location. On my 928 I get 22 mbps in my house. I was out at a shopping center today and I got 51.5 mpbs. It's not the phone that is slow, it is the variance in the signal from location to location.

This. I've hit 50+ with this phone numerous times. I'd say I average about 25Mbps down and 12Mbps up.

Lots of variables in play, so it's not really realistic to compare..... I've seen more than 30Mbps with my 928, and I'd bet that the floor models were on WiFi.

I turned WiFi off and ran the speed test, also ran speed test on my phone all at the Verizon store along with the s4. Also, I love the 927! Best phone I've ever owned!
