Odd signal reception

So I noticed my wife's phone had lte with 2 bars where I had two bars of 3g. Had to toggle airplane mode then it was on lte. Wife's phone is an 8x and both phones are setup identical in cellular settings.

I think most of us have come to terms that the 8X has superior signal strength.

I used one for a bit.. Where I would get 1 bar of 1x on most phones I had 2 bars of LTE on the 8X.

I don't think the actual reception is better on either phone, it is how the level is reported. I had an 8x and now a 928 and while my 928 shows less bars in locations the reception has been perfect.

As long as I am always connected and my device isn't slow I usually never look at the bars. So far the 928 has been great so far with stellar performance IMO.
