Any reason why my 928 would be dying faster than the 822 that I had?

If i remember correctly the processor and the screen take more juice. . .that could be it. Especially if you are using it a lot.

I had the exact same problem and the thing would get really hot too. I took it back to verizon and they gave me a new one after doing a battery test thing. They make you wait an hour to do it though -_____-. I would take it back and get a new one if it's within your 14 days.

It could be background tasks. Settings->swipe right-> background tasks-> touch a app, then tap "block" then it will stop background task for that app. This normally takes up alot of battery if you don't block them

Exact same processor so not likely. It is probably the background but could also be live features in games or music apps. Just go into the Xbox music and games and turn off anything you don't use. Also check Bluetooth and NFC. The Lumia 928 has a bigger battery. On the exact same settings it should be getting a couple more hours even with the 0.2" screen boost.

Did you just get the phone? Mine took several overnight charge cycles (and leaving it plugged in for a few hours beyond the necessary time) before it was getting good battery. I started by making sure Now I'm averaging around 18 hoursish if I toggle my wifi and LTE on and off based on which one I'm using/not using. I think some of these batteries just need to be "woken up".

Also, if it's getting hot, it might be pulling your location a lot. Check your background tasks, and disable nokia drive beta from running.

I don't think that I've fully discharged it yet, which could be part of the problem. I've been letting it drain to about 50% and then plugging it in. Any other ideas?

Does drive beta take up that much when you aren't using it, is it always trying to pull GPS. I'd like it to run in the background when I'm driving so I can do music as well and switch back and forth.

Mine actually does pretty good after a few weeks of charge cycles. I also don't allow a lot of BG tasks. I can easily get 14 hours and have 40% left with texting, email and 2 hours of music streaming.
