Wireless charging book

So ever since I got my Nokia 928 20 days ago I was fascinated with its wireless charging capabilities. I tested many different materials and distances and found I could do what I always wanted; to make a seemingly magic wireless changing phone stand.

What I did was hollow out an old book that was falling apart and had no use for anymore. Then I put my nokia charging plate inside resting just under the cover and walla! I place my phone ontop of a seemingly normal book and it charges! Thought I would share for anyone who wants to do something similar.

I forgot to note that you can feel the book get hot because the charger does it hot, but it doesn't seem to be extreme enough to worry about or have any issues.

I was considering on doing something similar but in my car. Then I thought about how most of the year here in Phoenix AZ it reaches well over 90 degrees all year (summer averages over 100) and that plus the heat of the charger can't be any good for my phone. O_O

Pretty cool. I tried to put the wireless charger inside my nightstand so I could just set the phone down at bed time, but the wood was too thick.

I wonder how much one would have to shave under the tabletop to get it thin enough to mount that plate underneath and charge?

I watched a video on Youtube that a guy did just that. Unfortunately for me, he had bought something from Ikea, and my new furniture is much better than that junk, so I won't be attempting it.
