Don't know if these are reasonable questions or irritating questions (as in they're easy and/or pointless), but I can't seem to get a clear answer on any of these.

I just got my Nokia Lumia 928 earlier this week, jumping from my HTC Trophy that I've had for just barely over two years, so I'm not that familiar with the platform yet. So here are my questions:

    1. Does turning on Wi-Fi extend, reduce, or have no effect on battery life?

I ask this because my family uses a shared data plan, so whenever we're at home, we use the Wi-Fi connection. But when we go out, I never use it, because from what I've seen and heard, Wi-Fi connection uses up battery power faster, so I don't want to run out of battery on the go (especially since the Lumia 928 seems to have a shorter battery life than my HTC Trophy).

    2. Does leaving the phone connected to the charger when it's at 100% hurt the battery life?

Another battery question. I've heard that leaving a battery-powered device plugged in when it's fully charged is bad for the battery and can lead to damage, causing the battery life to decay. This is something I'm more concerned about now than I have been before, because as I stated, the Lumia 928 seems to have a shorter battery life than my Trophy, but it also doesn't have a battery light like the trophy (that blinks red when it's critically low, stays red when charging, and stays green when fully charged and connected to the charger), so my only notifications come from the BatterySense app.

    3. How can I edit things in the Windows Phone App on my computer or within the Phone?

Having used a Zune, Zune HD, and a Windows Phone 7 for a collective six years straight, switching to the much less functional Windows Phone App from the Zune Marketplace wasn't a smooth transition. I can't seem to create my own albums or move individual songs to different albums. Is there any way to do this? Or is there some alternative? Because I really don't like the Windows Phone App.

    -------

Thanks, and sorry if these are stupid questions.

    1. When you're home Wifi uses less juice than your cellular signal, especially if you have a weak signal. When you leave it is searching for wifi, but I doubt you'd notice any noticable gain from turning it off.

    2. No, precautions are in place to only charge when needed. I don't recall if its a software solution or a hardware solution that does.

    3. Good luck, media management is a headache on WP, similar to itunes being a headache with iOS. You can drag and drop your files which is what I do. Its so much easier than using the WP8 software.

    1. Does it only use less juice if I turn off cellular data?

    2. Ah, good to know.
