Lumia 930 Local Scout showing less!

Just got the Lumia 930 and still using my Lumia 920. I noticed on the 930 when using LocalScout that it dosen't show as many locations as the 920!

For example the 930 only found 6 takeaways/restaurants around me, unlike the 20 on 920, missing 14 extra on 930. Sort By option also seems a lot less compared to 920.

Both phones are from UK, using Wi-Fi, both on 8.1 though 920 is on preview, both set to UK language and location.

Why is this?

Maybe check for updates to the maps? Maybe download the maps?

Go to -> Maps -> ... -> Settings

It could be something as simple as that.

That doesn't make any logical sense since they're both using the same maps. Something doesn't seem right there.

I do find that strange to! I'm the UK so Contra is not officially released here - do temporally use it 920 W8.1 Beta, but even with our without W8.1 on Lumia 920 it still showed all. I'm wondering if there's a problem with the app or phone on the Lumia 930.

Just checked my 920 which now shows the same info as my 930, which is now less then before. What seems to have happened is that Local Scout has been stripped back! Compated with Here City Lens on the 920 and GMaps+on both 920/930 which both show more local shops and interests/places and are actually local. Nokia or MS have seemed to cut back on Local Scout practically making it useless (UK). The worse thing is City Lens is not even available on 930.

City Lens is now integral part of Here Maps, it is called Live Sight.

You'll be getting Cortana soon so this shouldn't be an issue for long. Just a transition state.

It is all confusing as Here Maps. Local Scout, Explore, City Lens all give different results - which should actually be integrated into one map as with Google Maps. Hope Cortana sorts all this out.

Just discovered HERE Explore Beta - This app is so much better and more accurate, with more categories with places that are actually local! And alot more of them too. Nokia/MS need HERE Explore rather then having 3-4 separate apps with different results.
