Because of its smaller aperture. Night mode on my 1520 takes very good low light pics. Especially in doors. If you're not satisfied with auto or night mode settings, try using a 1/4th on manual settings with 100-200 iso.

No. The 930 and 1520 have the exact camera module, ois, lenses, aperture etc.
There is no difference between them.
Do one thing, place the 930 on a floor or on a table while taking pic indoors or just make sure its not in your hand, its in a steady place. Then take a pic,and see the results. If there sharp, then the problem is your shaking your hand.
It's a great thing to try.

Since its indoor, noise will creep out no matter what. Low light == more noise.
Normally 800 iso is good for low light but above it,the pic is blurry and damaged.
Just I said above,do the steady trick and put iso 100 and you'll see the result,

Well then, we will just have to wait then.
But still,20 mpx ain't bad either its great too.
Best of all, with Lumia Denim your getting enhanced features which 1020 is not getting like faster camera app, faster shot to shot, faster processing, new video features in which in you can tap to focus, autofocus, manual focus, change white balance DURING RECORDING VIDEOS etc and its future proof meaning you'll get more in the future.
I would really trade that 41 mpx for all these enhancements and more future features.

To be honest, it also sometimes bring noise in the pictures. I have a 1020 so that's why I am saying and most of all,its way slow in taking pics. It's a great camera phone I will say that but to say its the best,it ain't because of its weaker chipset.
With Lumia denim, you will get improved algorithms and for those who have 930/Icon and 1520. 1020 and the rest won't benefit from the Denim due to weak hardware. And who knows what you might get in future? Slow motion maybe.

The 1020 is great in capturing still photos but I would seriously recommend the 930 for being future proof in features and software wise.

I don't think so as the Denim will roll out in Q4 meaning now. Maybe in November or max in December your 930 might receive it whereas the 1020 will be until next year.
Whereas the successor goes, the next event is Build 2015 which is in April. So that's a very long way.......

There's nothing to do with aperture size of 930/1520.

Noise it's because autosettings choose high ISO. Anything about ISO 600 is very bad for sharper images.

Blurry photos I will need a example for explain. But maybe it's related with bad focus.

    Auto

Ah that's why. The phone will ramp ISO or light sensitivity in darker scenes. The higher the ISO the greater the noise.

    2 options around this.

    1. Shoot in lower iso but that increases exposure time leading to blurring.
    2. Shoot in semi moderate iso like 400 and use a noise removal filter in PhotoShop.

For most of my photos I clean them up with Imagenomic Noiseware in Photoshop and the results are outstanding.

How will that help? The focal point of the lens has no bearing on the image's exposure whatsoever. Only factors that should matter are shutter speed, ISO, and aperture.

Oh that does make sense! Yeah manually setting the focus is a great idea.

I honestly feel they half-assed the Lumia 930 ... Should have gone with an f/2 aperture instead. That's a third stop advantage on noise in low light.

For indoor shots I highly recommend the camera app included in Fhotoroom. It focuses very quickly.
I use it a lot to take shots of my daughter who never sits still.

No, f/2.4 is perfect and have the same or betters results than f/2 aperture size. Even on low light. Plus less noise.
