Why have my sounds stopped working on my Lumia 930?

Sound stops working on Lumia 930

Since a few months I am the proud owner of a Lumia 930.
All is working well except.....:devil:
Somehow at regular times all speaker sounds stops working: No ringtone, no wakeup call, etc... Also I am not able to record video. If I plug in a headphone speaker sounds are restored, also after a restart.
I did send in the phone two times for repair, but this issue seems unresolved.
Do more people have this issue? Is it soft or hardware and should I insist on a replacement?

I have the same problem. Seems like a software problem that was introduced by one of the patches/upgrades.
I run Lumia Cyan version 3.12.0.3 core build 3058.50000.1425.10479

This happened to me before, but the problem went away when I quit whatsapp(press and hold back, remove the app). Do you use whatsapp? Try quitting other apps if this happens again.

Should I just remove whatsapp and not use it all anymore? Or can I reinstall it again? The problem seems so random as well.....

Seems like the removal and reinstallation of whatsapp did the trick......I did not encounter this issue anymore!
