I'm using my old HTC 8x as a back up but was thinking about replacing my 1520 with a 930, but ATT is out of them, no new or refurbs. Should I just buy a used one or is their a replacement model coming out in the next few months and that's why supply has dried up?

That is because the 930 was never officially released in the US and the international version will only work at 3g on at&t due to missing lte bands.

In the US, the Lumia Icon Verizon exclusive (cdma version of 930) was released instead, which you can find at the Microsoft store or usually special order from Verizon as vzn is pushing the HTC One m8 instead.

On at&t if you don't want 1520 next best bet is the 830, but the hardware is not as good as the 930/Icon.

Rumors state next flagship not until late 2015.

An international 930 will work fine (with the exception of no LTE, however my HSPA+ AT&T speeds with the 930 were around 12mps).
I had one for a couple of weeks and everything worked fine. No LTE is fine with me. I have no use for LTE and my last few phones were all international (unlocked) that didn't get LTE.
12mps or so is more than enough speed for me. At home I use wifi always anyway, and the complete metal building at my work place never has gotten LTE, so the only time I could use it is when I'm out and about around town and I don't use my phone much then anyway.

:)

I just want to wrap up the topic since it is the same question I have. Nokia/Microsoft doesn't manufacture a Lumia 930 compatible with AT&T LTE. Correct?
