Probably you want find a direct comperison (yet) because demin is just out.
So maybe you need the 2 step comparison. 930 cyan vs 930 denim. And the older comparisons between 930 (cyan) vs 1020.

Comparing 930 Cyan with 1020: I prefer the 1020.
I like the c?mera improvements between Denim v.s Cyan but I really need to see comaprison between 930 Denim v.s 1020 to make a final decision.

I have both, a 930 updated to Denim a few days ago, and a 1020, Cyan. I haven't had the chance yet to test the 930 Denim's photographic potential, but what I can say is that when I acquired my 930 a month or two ago, I was very impressed by how well it compares photographically to the 1020. It's second to the 1020, but not far behind it.

What kind of comparison do you want? Just general pictures or more specific? Either way, I'm gonna take some snaps and post them here tomorrow.

I'll take some more. I forgot to turn dng to jpg in Lumia 930 for outdoor shots so I had to open them in photoshop and save to jpg. Also it seems that I had some problems with autofocus for Lumia 1020 outdoors. It was freezing and my fingers were a bit numb.

Janis, very good job my friend! The first set of pics with the metal/gold item looks better on the 1020. The pictures in the snow the 1020 seems better specially when zooming in but the one inside the building with the stairs the 930 looks better.
The pictures outside on the almosty dark environment on the corridor looks very yelow on 1020.

That's a good question. I personally like 1020 more but... I think Lumia 930 has a more versatile and easier to use camera with auto mode but if you know Lumia 1020:s weaknesses then it's another game with fully manual mode.

So, a conclusion: 930 is better with full auto. 1020 is a way better in full manual.


Oh, and a surprising fact: Lumia 930 beats 1020 hands down shooting close ups and macro shots. That's because of a lot shorter minimum focusing distance. What Lumia 930 loses with less megapixels it makes it up with closer focusing distance and the fact that pixels in the sensor are larger so the picture is much sharper. The optics are really one of the bottlenecks for 1020 close ups. I may post some examples later.

Very good point JaniM!!! I always take pics on auto mode. I can get a 930 for 380€ at amazon.es

I had Lumia 1020 in past but now using 930. The biggest difference i can tell, the manual controls on 1020 were awesome. I mean you can experiment a bit more with 1020 than 930 due to the difference in Sensor size.
