Quick question on hard resets

Hi all, I recently tried the Win10 update on my 930. It worked alright for a while then started to get hot and drain the battery. I rolled back to 8.1 and alls fine.
I didnt try to hard reset win 10 at the time, and i'm thinking it may have solved the problem. Anyway, if I upgrade to win 10 again and hard reset without backup will I still be able to roll back to 8.1 if it fails?

If you are on WP10 and do a phone reset you will stay on 10. WDRT will return you to 8.1 anytime
