Hello. Sorry in advance if this has already been answered to - couldn`t find another topic open on this.
So I`ve noticed that my Lumia 930 kept making worse and worse photos lately so I`ve tried to troubleshoot it; turns out it doesen`t focus at all. Even if I try manual focus , auto focus, or focus to infinity , I get no difference whatsoever.
I`ve already tried other 3rd party camera apps and I get roughly the same result.
Is this a known issue or at least does anybody know if it`s software related or is my camera phone just a phone with a dead camera?
It`s funny, because the front facing camera works fine.
I have the latest Insider build from Fast Ring, but the camera has been working badly for a while now.

Thanks!

since you've tried several other camera apps and they all turn out bad, it is most likely your camera that has the issue. Any service centres nearby?

From my own experience, have you tried cleaning the lens cover. Wiping with cloth may be. Mine was solved simply as that.

even if it isn't under warranty, you'll have to get it checked so you know what the issue is exactly

I love how much you trust these *specialists* from wherever you are. Unfortunately , in my country , if I get my phone to one of those centers, they`ll probably just make it worse or break it, all of this at incredibly expensive rates. Already tried once .. Never again XD . Anywho , i`ll try to reset the phone and get it out of the insider program, just in case it`s some sort of weird software issue occurrence, and if it`s not.. well, I had the phone for almost 2 years. Maybe it`s time to retire.

PS: tried to clean it with a cloth too. Did not work; Does anyone know if the back cover of the phone also contains a protection for the lens? Maybe I can try to remove it, see if the cover is not scratched or something of the kind.

try the restore to 8.1, slight chance it could work
I don't trust them, it's just they should be the first place to look into. Of course there are technicians that repair any phone but are those more trustworthy than those from official Nokia care centres? Would you trust a shop that has thousands of parts lying around all over and you've never been to the shop before. I've heard of cases where people take their devices for repair to these unofficial repair places and rather than solving one thing, more problems develop because that technician removed some parts.

however, official repair centres are expensive and they cannot always solve the problems. You just have to go with your gut feeling on this (though advice from your friends can help)
