Yahoo mail no longer working on 930

Hello,
I used to be able to get Yahoo mail on my phone (930) but setting it up in manage accounts. Now it stopped working.

It works on the web browser, but not the Outlook add an account like it used to.

I get an email on my secondary account saying someone has tried to login into my Yahoo account.
It tells me to use the iOS or Android app (um... windows phone).

I had to switch the option to "use a less secure sign in"

Once I make the change it works.

But wow, Yahoo, dumping MS - ouch!

Same problem but I have been unable to resolve it. I have used both an app password and have the setting "Allow apps that use less secure sign in" set to the right (which I assume means do let them use it) but still get
"Something went wrong. We're having a problem downloading messages. Try again later. Error code: 0x80048830".

I have tried using an app password and my main password, with the same effect.

Any idea?

Try deleting the account from your phone and setting it up again with the 'less secure' setting.

Any changes?

Edit settings on your yahoo mail. Allow unsecure log in from apps. It worked on my 930. Hope this helps

Any luck? I have found no combination of App Password/standard password allow/disallow less secure applications that works.

I should note that other email clients can access my Yahoo! email using an App Password, for instance, desktop Outlook and Blackberry Hub.
