It doesn't seem that you have a lot of options. Before the 14 days are up, either decide to keep your 928, exchange it for an Odyssey or an 8X, or exchange it for a device on another platform. You could also consider getting something like an iPhone 5s or Note III, which you can then sell when the 929 (or whatever you're waiting for) is released. The cash you get will probably be more than enough to buy the 929 off contract.

I did the same....cept mine cost $135. Arriving tomorrow. So stoked to be ditching my HTC One. It's a fine device, but camera quality is no good.

Long story short, I had to get a new phone and switch carriers. I went with Verizon and got the 928. They only give you 14 days to exchange the phone. Don't want to be stuck with this one.

If your going to stay with Verizon, go to craigslist or something and find a USED Verizon phone for cheap (or look in the for sale fourm here), Then return your 928, there you will be allowed a phone at a discounted price.

Use the "used one" till the ICON/929 hits....but, I would bet it would be longer than your 14 days...Verizon is known to drag their feet on UNANNOUNCED PHONES (Yes, the 929 had not been announced from Verizon OR Nokia)

While I agree with you... I think the restocking fee that they charge makes up for it. A better question is, is it really smart to do something knowing it's going to cost you 35 dollars?

Given that 2 months difference between an effective contract plan + phone payment or PAYG plan pays for the 521, I'd get that and go PAYG until the Icon arrives...

Microsoft store has 520 on sale for $59 till the 12th, I believe. I bought one as backup, in case something goes wrong with my 1020.
