I have to take my Icon in for an issue with the gyro sensor not working, but here are a few photos taken with it today. Great little camera on this thing.

Pic of the backyard...auto settings, although I am starting to play around with the manual settings and it has been pretty fun. Only thing I did was re size the photo so it wouldn't be so frickin huge.

I don't expect anyone here to sit and watch all this, but I'll post a link for demonstration. I work in the sound booth at my church, and since I got my Icon, I wanted to see just how good it is at video, and post some sermon videos online for my church. The video isn't as good as it could be, because I had to run it through Handbrake to compress it from more than 13 GB down to under 2 GB to be able to upload it to my church's OneDrive account. What really impresses me is the audio of this thing. If you look around the 25:30 mark, you'll see we're not a quiet church by any stretch of the imagination. We get with the Spirit. And if you're feeling like seeing our kids sing, look around 34:00 for them getting up and singing for Easter Sunday.

And let me tell you - I work the sound booth and the sound at this part of the video, even upstairs in the sound booth, is just beyond the edge of painful to the ears. This phone handles it VERY well.

Thanks for the demo, Rich. What denomination is your Church?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't even take pictures close to these. Maybe because I don't do a lot of outdoor sunny shots.

1st, make sure all your settings are on auto.
2nd, make sure your lens is clean (smudges from your fingers will make images look awful)
3rd, check your focus assistant light, that can help too.
4th, experiment with manual settings.

Also, there are two main camera apps, the main windows phone one and the Nokia camera. if you are using one, try the other.

If all that fails, maybe to into a Microsoft store if you have one near by and just ask someone, they can most likely see what's going wrong.

My daughter got a shot of me on the track at Ford Racing school. She used the smart sequence and then used the action shot. I like the motion blur effect:temporary_zps2957caa5.jpg

Was playing around with Low light slow shutter speed shot from my balcony - no tripod used, just holding the phone. Would probably be much better with a tripod, but it still looks pretty sick. I tried the same type of shot on my wifes iphone 5s - not possible.

Hoh, nice photos. Ok I'll share some photos. First two photos took with Nokia Lumia 928, last two with Nokia Lumia Icon.
