I'm loving my new Icon. But was surprised that the speaker is definitely a step down from the 520/521. Setting both to the same volume level, the 520/521 is definitely stronger, louder, and clearer. In fact, if you put your hand over the speaker on the 520/521 you can feel the air pulsing against your hand.

That's pretty much the only advantage the 520/521 has but it makes a difference if you don't have earphones nearby. Sometimes i just played music from my 521 in the car through the speaker. It was loud enough even over the noise of driving.

Pretty much my only niggle against the Icon. The only other thing was the heat of the body of phone was a little surprising. It's not always warm but warm when I was doing things I didn't consider stressful.

One more reason I am sticking with my 928. Since the 520/521 doesn't have the Glance screen, you don't miss it or you would include that in your niggles against the Icon.

I played with the 928 at the store before I got the Icon. It's a nice phone. Next to the Icon, it's not as good but for free (with contract), it's a good phone. Screen is not nearly as good as the Icon and it's small. I needed 5+" inches. The 4" of the 521 drove me crazy with the keyboard and the 928 didn't seem much bigger. The 928 they had at the store had screen burn-in though.

    Love the wireless charging!
