The Icon is already unlocked. You can put in an AT&T sim or Tmobile sim since it is a world phone.
The CDMA is locked so u can't use it on sprint

Also u most likely will not get LTE OR even HSPA OR HSPA+ network.

You will most likely get edge as the phone lacks the bands for tmobile /att. Please see the device specs for more info to see what speeds the phone will get with your carrier

I didn't knew it because there isn't any carrier restrictions in my country. Only option available to buy phone unlocked from a Nokia outlet which is at times expensive :/

But you better be content with 3g and hspa speeds, cause it won't get LTE on other carriers then Verizon

I'm currently using a BlackBerry Z30 I purchased directly from Verizon. I'm now writing this using at&t LTE, as this device has LTE Band 4, which I can find all over Chicago. Which LTE band(s) does the Icon have that can be accessed through at&t?
