I'm was thinking cyan rolls out today at 1pm ET.
Wishful thinking, I know. But the thought makes me happy.

I just looked at VZW site and the Icon is still listed.
Dear Verizon - Please release 8.1/Cyan if for no other reason than it means we can end this thread.
I bet they charge for every test, sort of like how developers are required to fork over 35k, 75k, or 150k to MS for every update delivered over Xbox Live.
But, I bet Verizon charges more to their billionaire OEM partners. 7 figures per update per device sounds about right?
Ditto. I'm hopeful they are redesigning the link to reflect the Icon on WP8.1... :\Its interesting I checked out their site and the Icon is twords the bottom, but the 928 is before it. However the Icon's details is broken, but the 928 works just fine. If they really are retiring the Icon why would they retire the newer and better Icon, but not the 928? Makes no sense to me.

If you look above...one person is saying that they chatted Verizon and the Icon is now discontinued.
If this is true...I'm officially done caring about this anymore...
This reminds me of when I was one of the lone American users of S60 phones like the N95 and E66. Time to move on :crying:
Agreed, I don't buy it. As you said, why would they retire the Icon when the older HTC 8X and Samsung ATIV SE are still listed with functioning links? I also don't think this has anything to do with the update about to be released. It's just a coincidence and indicates that they have a crappy website.
