    Hi all,

Been pretty happy with the ICON. Noticed a problem with sending group messages to Sprint Android users from Verizon ICON. They are getting a blank group message. Tried an Android on ATT and it worked. My friend tried it from is WP on Verizon and he gets the same results. Tried to talk to VZW and "We'll look into this" and now its marked as resolved but the same issue exists. Anyone else having this problem?

I have the problem sending to SPRINT Samsung Androids. The HTC One seems to not have this issue on sprint.

I think its and issue with their messaging app. They can see what it says at the top of the screen when the message comes in (first few words) but if they open the message it's bland. Regular SMS works fine.

Yes, I am having this exact problem. Here is what I can state as fact....

I have a Galaxy Note 3 with Sprint
My brother has Windows 8 phone (Nokia) with Verizon
My family I group text are with ATT/Verizon/Sprint.

Everything works fine except for when my brother (Windows 8/verizon) texts me (Note 3/Sprint). I can text him, he gets it. I just can't see when he texts me while in group chat. However, interesting enough, if you send a picture (Or a picture with a text) you will get it! (We dont use msging apps btw). I was followed up with by Sprint, the Tech looked at my text history and to see how much data hit the tower. Sprint said that 0 data hit the tower, and that made it a Verizon issue. I called Verizon, they repeated the process and stated that there shows no errors in the transmission to the tower. Verizon stated it was a Nokia Software issue, but now I know it extends much deeper. Please let me know if anyone finds a solution.

I've had these problems for a long time. It's always Samsung - but it's not always Sprint. Those are the only people that seem to get blank group texts from me.

This happened to me too. I had a friend who is on Sprint and as a GSIII and she was getting blank responses from me when I responded to a group text. Her sister, who initiated the group text could read my responses fine.

It's defiantly an issue with Samsung not Sprint. My buddy has a HTC One (M7) and his fiance has S4, both on Sprint. He get's my text's just fine but she just sees blank texts. She does however see part of the message when the toast icon on the top of her screen reads it, but once she goes into her messaging app, she sees nothing.

It's an issue with their SMS/MMS app. If they download a different one from the Play store that supports Group txt it will work fine. Group txts come across as an MMS message and the app needs to know how to interpret them.

Technically as a work around you could turn off group text on your phone in settings and it will send the texts as individual SMS messages that they can receive. You do loose the grouping of the txts though.

I finally just gave up and downloaded a 1x1 square image that I always attach when I send a mms. People are use to the black box.
