8.1 DP update 1 making all side buttons not work

so weirdest thing has happened since I updated yesterday. my volume, lock, and camera buttons went out except when I hard reset my phone. it is really annoying to have to hard reset my phone every time I want to use it. Any ideas for a fix?

Do you mean you're doing a soft reset every time? Holding down power and volume down until it vibrates? Basically a reboot. That makes more sense b/c a hard reset, which is what you probably need to do, wipes out your data/apps and sets the phone back to how it came out of the box. It usually fixes significant problems like you're having.
