Button height?

I just got a manufacture refurbished Icon. With my puregear dualtek case on it, the camera button is the only one that works fairly well, the power and volume buttons are very hard to make work at all. I took off the case and checked for any problems with the inner of the case button sections and found nothing wrong and the phone was in the case correctly positioned.

Camera button sticks out much more and is firmer feeling when pushed. So I wonder if the vol/power buttons are worn out from what ever prior use the phone had. They are not flush with the frame or anything, but they do seem pretty mushy feeling in comparison to the cam button.

Is the camera button supposed to stick out a little more then the other 3?

I have a brand new Icon and the camera button sticks out the furthest. The others work fine though

I think the camera button sticks out more because it's a 2-stage shutter button. It's the only explanation I can think of.

This is normal. The camera needs to be out more cause its a two stage button as said above. Perfectly normal and a good thing too.

Yea I figured the camera button needed more travel or a different action for the focus element. I was more concerned with the fact that the other buttons were mushy/worn. A little bit of pvc tape on the inside of the case buttons is working for now.
