Only asking because I'm considering trading my M8 for an Icon and I don't wanna lose the awesome battery life I currently have.

It's gotten better; at least for me. Of course, it depends on usage. I take a lot of photos and video (mostly photos) and upload to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. So I get pretty decent battery life. If you are a gamer, then batter life will suffer. The biggest battery hogs for me is Facebook (7.3%), Internet Explorer (3.8%), Easy Transfer (3.5%), Trivia Crack (3.5%), and Lumia Camera (3.1%).

Here is another thread about battery life post Denim update:

I think overall the benefits the Icon has over the M8 far outweighs battery life. Best camera in its class (along with the 930 and 1520 of course), 4K video recording, and Hey Cortana along with all of the other Lumia goodies that HTC and Samsung will NEVER get.

How many threads are we going to have on Denim and it's battery life ?

Here's one that was 3-4 down from the thread you created (and there is at least 2-3 more that I remember), Please search before creating a new thread please, this has been discussed a few places already.

I think that the battery life while idle is significantly better. But using the phone still shows just how small the battery size is for the amount of phone it is. I truly think that the majority of "battery problems" that people have with the Icon comes down to a 5 inch, 1080p display, with a smaller battery.

That's it.
