Icon Camera only 16 MP on Windows 10?

I just upgraded to the latest stable build of Windows 10 Mobile (.103) from 8.1 and I just noticed that the camera settings only allow me to take pictures up to a maximum of 16 mega pixels. I can't increase the picture resolution any higher in the camera settings. However, the Lumia Icon is supposed to be able to take pictures up to 20 MP. So what happened?

To get the most out of the camera, use the Raw (DNG) photos. Those will have a fuller resolution than the jpg's.

The camera sensor is 20 MP and with this it can take 4:3 and 16:9 pictures, which means the MP settings are different as well.

4:3 = 4992x3744=18690048 ≈ 19Mpix
16:9 = 5376x3024=16257024 ≈ 16Mpix
5376x3744=20127744 ≈ 20Mpix

Oh I see, I always assumed it could take 16:9 pictures at 20 MP. I thought the option just disappeared with Windows 10. If I set the camera to use the DNG photos for 16 MP and 5 MP for JPG, which is the one that gets automatically uploaded to OneDrive? I don't want to have to manually copy the DNG files off the phone.

Yeah, I've been struggling with this recently as well. It seems like the old way of being able to take 16+5 and be able to crop and zoom the 16 to a 5 for sharing no longer works?

Like, there is ta 16+5 option, but as far as I can tell there's no way to access or edit this 16mp version (outside of manually transferring via usb, i'm assuming).

So wtf is the point?

Why can we not get 20 MP jpg files on Windows 10? The photos also seem to be distorted long-ways. Anybody figured this out? Running 14393.221, but same on previous version too. Tempted to try 14936, but after 14926 killed the SIM and keyboard, feeling a bit hesitant. Anyone running 14936 on the Icon yet?

I put mine on 14936 today. Everything seems quite good so far. The only bug I've noticed is that the calendar live tile keeps cycling through three days, from Thursday (today) to Friday, and then to Saturday. Then it goes back to today's date. Battery seems to be getting hit a bit hard, but that's not unusual for a day or so after a new build.
