Hi today my phone was in my pocket upside down ( with the charging port facing upward ). I had the USB charger plugged into it. I got up and started to walk and the other end of the cable got caught on a chair arm rest. It tugged in the cable and the phone in my pocket. When I took the micro USB out it was bent. I want to know if there could be any damage done to the phones charging port. It looks fine from outside but the micro USB of the charger is bent. And I'm getting kinda paranoid about it.
So could the charging port contacts be damaged?

So you had the phone in your pocket while it was charging? And it got hung up on the armrest? Ouch. Well, I'd try another USB cable and see if it works.
