I have tried Scotch but just didn't care for it much.
I do prefer bourbon or Tennessee whisky. Maker's Mark is pretty good too.
I also like Bushmill's Irish whisky.
No drinking and typing on the forums.

The Scots have over a hundred different distilleries. Most of them distill multiple brands. Depending on the region, their products are VERY different. I don't enjoy all Scottish single malts either, but some I would classify as the most noble beverages in existence.
I've always wondered what the term "scotch" really means (only really hear it in U.S. films). I assume it means "any whisky distilled in Scotland" (which I find rather pointless given the variety). Is that true, or do you guys have one particular product you call "scotch"?
