I thought messenger was going to go away and become Skype. But they're two distinct things and merging the accounts seems to have nothing but negative repercussions.
For example, Skype does messenger, but not facebook (chat). the messenger app does Skype and facebook. So on Win8, I can't disable one or the other without losing a chat service or losing video calls, and the end result is I get double the notifications for messages sent over messenger.
Am I missing something?
