I've always been a night owl. I've worked night shift in the past, and it was not a problem for me.

I'm 44. I started reading Stephen King's books in junior high school.

Well, do bring you up to speed in my world: I visited my mother and used her great shower (she has a rain shower, it's a blessing, my shower here is terrible ;-) ), I played Donkey Kong on my Nintendo 3DS (I love this game, and actually I didn't write about this), my sister in law gave me a late birthday present, a great chocolate cake, and the woman I was dating and I broke the thing off.

Now I'm back in the lab, and I feel just tired. Luckily I still have a lot of friends, so every evening this entire week I'll meet somebody else, which will keep my mind occupied with nice things.

I can't believe there's another thread in the L920 area about the damn camera again! It's the same conversation as before. Whine, whinge, comparisons with post processing. It's already up to 8 pages! Crazy.

Sorry to hear about your relationship, that's never a pleasant situation. :(

I haven't played Donkey Kong in ages. Is it the classic one or the newer versions?

A good shower is an important thing. Some of the showers we had here in the UK have been disappointing. There's an issue with old pipes and pressure where you need to buy what's called a 'power shower' to get any pressure at all. Thankfully the one we have now is good though!

Friends is a good thing. We're still in the process of aquiring some. It's not easy when you move as much as we have. :/

Thanks. I plan to keep it up as a topic in this thread for at least a year... just kidding :)

It's the adventure version of it. But it's very classic in the sense that it feels exactly like on the Gameboy Advance, without using all the silly features of the 3DS.

Water pressure is usually great in Switzerland. But I have a water saving shower head in my flat. Terrible thing, I'm in for saving the world, but I'm not sure if saving water in Switzerland contributes to a healthy nature. We have plenty of water.

That's something I'm a little afraid of when it comes to moving. I plan on doing some research abroad, but I guess I will have a hard time to find friends in a new country.

Honestly, I think it's easier as a single male to make friends than it is for a couple at our age with no kids. Also, being in the field you are I think meeting people is a lot easier. I find the field I am in doesn't have a great social aspect to it, or maybe I don't go out of my way to get into it. I don't know. I just find a lot of people here (and in Australia as well) tend to socialise with people they already know from when they were younger. I find it more here than Australia but it was similar there.
