Good morning!

What a great start into the day, had to bring some paperwork to the university I'll start in September, and there my laboratory is holding a workshop. Right at the moment I got there, they were drinking coffee and eating Gipfeli. And of course I joined.

Now I am back in the lab, and I think this is my last day here.

Gipfeli are important, you have to know this word if you are ever for breakfast in Switzerland.

Ah. I lived in Brisbane for 7.5 years prior to moving to the UK. I didn't see as much of Victoria as I would have liked. Winter in Brisbane was like Brisbane in summer, except people wore jackets in the morning and evening cause it was 'cool'. I can imagine that it gets a bit cooler where you are.

Yeah, it's quite a lot cooler in Melbourne than it is in Brisbane.

Today it was 11 degrees Celsius at it's highest!

When I was in Brisbane the coldest we got to was 18C during the day and that was a 'cold' day.

Even though it's a man made hill, the first thing that came to mind was the Stonehenge.

Close, but not quite. That hill is 40m or 131ft high. There's nothing that big around Stonehenge. I also had the date wrong. It's about 4750 years old and took about 15 years to build.

That would be Silbury Hill in Avebury I think?

For the first time since I can remember, I have missed a deadline for some paperwork. It concerns my registration for the PhD position. But I think I just have to pay a fee now and it still should work out. It still bugs me, as this usually never happens to me :/

So how about a picture of some food?

I like a variety of food and make a lot of it at home. This is typically a 'starter' at restaurants but it can be a meal.

November is going to be expensive 23 xbox one launch titles and I want to get 7 of them although FIFA 14 is free for European pre-orders.

Oh yeah - they are going last again in another thunder stealing effort. Would be actually good to hear more news about it seeing as they haven't said anything since E3.
