Personally if they pay you well I'd just go for it. :)
Wish I got paid to travel to work :P

Yeah I'm in the midlands. They want me to commute south to Meriden, between Birmingham and Coventry.
That could be a pain if the traffic is bad, unless you can get a train. Still if the experience is worth it and the pay is good I'd go for it. You're next job after that could be even better. :)

You would be shocked at some of the pay packages I've had. ;) I was just saying that if the pay is better it's worth the travel.

I've just worked out that it could cost me about 16 a day to commute. That's about 2 hours work to cover the daily commute. Hmm.

The quoted pay is between 9-15 an hour, so assuming the minimum it's just under 2 hours a day to get the commute fee back.

Aim high. Don't ever settle for the low end. Put yourself in the middle range at the very least.

What area of Lincolnshire? I lived in Cleethorpes/Grimsby for about a year when I first moved to the UK. The certification will definitely help you in getting a better pay. :)

I've been to Scuthorpe. It wasn't that bad. Even parts of Hull are nice. Every area has it's bad and good parts. Grimsby had bad areas as well. I didn't watch that skint show. They never tell the real story anyway, always sensationalize it.

I noticed when I lived up that way a lot of jobs were paying bare minimum. Sad really. They want people to stay there but don't offer real money for the jobs they do.

No they don't and my manager doesn't understand either because they own two houses and rent both and live in a rented house them self (to save money) and of course the pay of a manager on top as well.
