Lol. I should have also said that I am one who uses my phones with one hand. The Honor 8 is the tallest phone that I can do this without strain (even though I can't reach the top without shifting in my hand). The narrowness of it helps with this.

I don't mind narrow as long as it isn't too tall. I put phones only in my front pockets.
And here I thought your two handed game was elite status...Guess a good one handed game isnt a terrible consolation prize...

Haha, I don't know if I have game. It's kind of a reflex. It feels weird to use a phone with 2 hands. Even though I have long fingers, it just feels wrong.

Or maybe I'm just weird. I do use my left hand even though I'm right handed to type and hold. The iPhone SE is the best for this. I can do all I want, such as drinking tea and reading at the same time

Sometimes I debate playing with a X compact to have that again outside of iOS but it was very annoying with outlook contacts.

All "in the deepest part of the gutter inducing innuendos" aside, I get what you mean. For example, my mitts are big enough where I use a 950XL in single handed use with a case quite easily. As you can see, the Honor 8 is pretty much covered...And yet I do like smaller phones be sure they first more securely in hand. I took a picture of my Z3 Tablet Compact that I could balance comfortably in one hand and reach the notification shade still easily...

Glad you get what I mean. Ohh okay.

It does look like you can use the Honor 8 one handed for sure.
You have mentioned your Z3 tablet compact a couple of times, I'm going to look into how that looks like.

In that case, I'm guessing that your Robin is probably decent in hand but not as nice as the Honor 8.

Here's how the Z3 tablet compact looks. Keep in mind, this is a 8" screen...1488662594915.jpg1488662602050.jpg

Here's my MXPE with a TPU case.

I took that picture one handed with the Nexus 7 in my right hand. I think being a keyboard player helps.

I did the same with the Honor 8 in my left and the Z3 Tablet Compact in my right hand.

I'm glad that my Honor 8 is coming back to me tomorrow. If it returns with nougat, I'll hate that and I'll have to sell it (seriously). I hope it returns with marshmallow.

This was one of the best tablets of its time...Water resistant, Snapdragon 801, very fast and fluid. I liked the 8" screen size. But Sony being Sony overpriced it and Google being Google made it ineligible for 7.0. Multi window would have made this so awesome...Sigh.

So I'm back from my trip. South of France is wonderful. Came back to cold crap weather...

We drove around a lot. Got a touch tiring. Put 650km on the rental.

Went to my first Michelin star restaurant by accident. We asked for a recommendation from the hotel and we just went. Eight courses later and a search on the internet revealed what we guessed during our meal. France is major food porn...

    I miss it already... Sigh

I guess food porn is better experienced with a supportive partner who won't judge you for being indulgent in certain tastes, right?

Well, glad to hear you had a good trip.

It was just in view all the time in the area we were traveling around in. I guess at almost 3000m it's hard to miss... Even the city where we were staying you could see it. Just unfortunate that the sky wasn't better. It just seemed the mountain blended with the sky.

    It's a nice picture though.

Can you answer my query about the Pixel for a moment?

I haven't really looked into it. I guess it's ok but I'm not fussed on the design of it. Lack of water residence is annoying. Not sure about SD card slot as I've lived without it before.

Main outstanding features are the camera followed by the software.

On the whole, I give it 'average'.

That's of course the issue with the industry currently.

It has no SD slot. Google last made one of those on a flagship phone in the Nexus One. It has two storage configurations...32GB or 128GB. Technically, it is IP53 rated...Same as the OG Xperia Z. Not great, but better that a lot. I asked as depending on how much storage you need, someone has a very good lead on one...

I know it doesn't have one I was just saying I wasn't sure it was an issue for me.

On the whole I think it's ok for what it is. It always was the price that disappointed.

I'm not a fan of the design though. I find it boring. Just like I find the iPhone boring.
