    How is college?
    Hope it's nothing too serious.
    Take care.
For the first time it's not actually my fault. Three weeks ago I got what I thought was a cold and meaningless caugh. That passed by quickly and I thought everything was fine.

Then, not more than two days later, I got a serious headache, high temperature (it was 42°C), vertigo and a serious pain in my ankles and muscles. I thought it was just a flu, but it turned to be worst flue I've ever had. I could barely walk, my vision was reduced to minimum and I was totally out of strenght. Went yo see doctor, did some analysis, and recieved a painkiller injections and a infusion.f That ended too after some 5 days or so. Again, naive me thought it was all over.

Just one day after being completely healthy (at least that's what I thought) I got the severe pain in my back and somewhere just under the ribs (don't know really how to describe the location). At first I thought it was kidneys. So I went sttaight to the doctor, again, did similar tests, and I was told (in a rude and completely unprofessional manner) that the pain had nothig to do with the kidneys, but that it "was just a pain in the back". So again I got a shot and was sent home.

Needless to say the pain did not go away at all. It kept hurting like hell, like someone was constantly stabing me in the kidneys. So 3 days later I got tired of it since I couldn't take the pain anymore, and I went to see a different doctor.

Now this girl (by the way she was absolutely gorgeous), gave me some proper cheking. Unlike others she really seemed to know what she was doing. And she had me to do tests other docs didn't even mention. After those tests, well, it became obvious some serious **** was going on.

Khm, apparently, both of my kidneys were giving up. Yup, dying. Loosing their funcition. By the time I arrived to this canton hospital (which is like 10 times better than my small town's), function of my kidneys was reduced to a bare minimum, they were almost completely dead.

Not only that, but my liver too. That's screwed as well. As well as my spleen.

So, yeah, not soo good I'm afraid.

So I am finally going to a game, by myself. It will be the first time I have ever done this. I debated between paying for parking or riding the train, since it's just me. I decided to pay for parking so that I can join in whatever is going on after the game.

Already having regrets about paying for parking though so I really hope something cool goes down. The difference between riding the train and paying for parking is laughable, I feel like I played myself.

It's getting better. I was told I'll have to stay a minimum of 20 days here. But they just told me that the things are looking better and I could be released withing a week.

I've been here for 8 days, sick of it already.

I really need to mention that the incompetent doctor who told me it was ny back, not the kidneys, he was a freaking experienced doctor. He was at least 45. And a specialist.

Wow, just read your long post. That's messed up that so many of them misdiagnosed you, but it's good that you finally got someone who seems to actually know something.
Also good to hear that you are getting better, I hope that you'll be free soon.

You probably have some nice trains there. Here, our trains are okay. I wasn't sure what would be the best option for me, as a gal by myself going to a game in the city, and leaving late afternoon/early night possibly. The plan is to stick with a crowd so I wouldn't be walking by my lonesome. Taking the train means noting when the train will come and leaving the game to be able to catch it. On the weekends, the train is more spaced out with how often it comes.

I wasted time depending on other people who were flaky about going to games with me. I might try them again next year with this but it's unacceptable for me to not go to a game at all in a season because of other people. In the 12 years I have been a fan, there has only been one year where I didn't go to a game, and that's because I was going through really low and hard times.

That just shows how devoted they are to their job. They didn't even bother to think what could be the issue.

But yeah, thank God, and the staff around me, that I'm getting better.

Trains in my country, well it depends on how you percieve them.

We've got old ones that good when you're traveling with friends. Since they themselves make a lot of noise, well you can do the same thing. We even bring guitars to play and sing while traveling.

While the new ones, Talgo trains, they make zero to none noise, are much more comfortable, safe, modern and actually faster. But are a bit more expensive and you have to make reservations.

It all depends on what you really want.

I get you about the games. I myself plan not to miss my club's games when I move to Sarajevo. The stadion is literally 10 mins of walk from me.

That sounds really fun to sing and play guitar while traveling. Hmm, it's interesting that the two trains you have are so different and that one actually costs more.

Ooh a 10 minute walk sounds really convenient to go to them. I see a lot of fun with that in your future! I should have known that you would get that.

    Wow, sorry to hear that.

Is it an infection or virus? What are they doing to 'make it better'? Did they give it a name?

Seems like you're doing better going by the crankiness. :P

Always best to stay and make sure things are right before leaving hospital. Most hospitals these days try their best to kick people out as quickly as possible. Not always a good thing.

Can you sue doctors for malpractice over there? That doctor seems like he needs a good lesson taught to him. Good thing you got a second opinion.

It's a virus. They told me the name, but since it's a Latin I forgot it no time, got written down somewhere, I'll update once I find it.

They had me hooked up to several infusions (I'm guessing that's what you guys call it as well). When I just arrived I was recieving as much as 5 of them per day. Also there were painkillers and some stuff for stomach as well.

As far as liver concerned it appears that it's a bit damaged. They gave me some meds, which are basically supplements judging by the composition.

I believe I could sue the doc, but I don't think he'd be the one ti take most of rhe guilt and damage. It'd probably all come down to an already struggling hospital. And I don't want to do that.

Then again, remember I live in Bosnia. So I'll just say connections, bribe and crime.

Here it is, hantavirus. Apparently transmited by mice and similar. How did I get it? So many theories.

It could be my cat that recently cut my cheek. It could have happened while I was clearing garage with my dad, or maybe when I was at a friend's weekend house few weeks ago.

The Sony XZ1 Compact is now available for preorder and I'm conflicted. I have read GsmArena's review for this phone that was published yesterday, along with watching 2 other reviews. From what I see, they seemed to improve the point and shoot mode, and in low light, it is okay, a bit noisy but it depends.

The battery life appears to be awesome and the front camera will probably be better than the SE for sure. I'm hoping for some other review sites to drop a review sometime this week or next (and of course, more video reviews are welcome too lol).

Six bones is not exactly what I’d call experiment money. Even I have my limits.

Well actually, my wifey kind of sets my limits. Sort of in a way. I know this because she says “fine” and every married man knows that “fine” means anything BUT fine.

LOL! I'm with you on that.

That's part of the reason for my hesitation. It's a lot for that. I need a sale on it, at least $50 off I could swallow if it is awesome, but I would rather have $100 off. It's a mini flagship but it's a bit much to swallow outright. My limit is actually under that.

Edit: I'm also playing with the idea of possibly trading in the Pixel to get some money off the XZ1 Compact. I know that it will take a hit but it's an idea. Since everyone is trying to sell their Pixels right now, it feels hard to get a bite.

Just hang tight till November 1. You will get better money for your Pixel and the Sony will have seen a nice price drop as well. Win, win.

I'm really surprised why you aren't happy with the battery life on the Pixel.

That's a true point about the Pixel and the Sony price drop. As long it doesn't randomly restart on me, I think I can deal with it. (I didn't mention it before but I had two restarts last week)

In my experience, the battery life wasn't so good to me. I did a hard reset and it has been better since. It's good, just not as good as my other phone. I wish that Oreo counted half/partial charges as full ones. I also didn't install all of my apps either, because I'm doing this test with it.

I don’t know about the small Pixel but I had the XL and it started quite good and went downhill from there. Oh, and there were no updates to blame, it was just Android’s poor RAM management. I only use about 30 app downloads so I can imagine the folks who download 100s of apps and 10 gigs of music what their battery life must be like.
