Just for the record. Using American terminology.

I have played and know the rules (for the most part) of the following sports:

Ice hockey, street hockey, soccer, baseball, football, tennis, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball, handball (team), handball (using wall), netball and golf.

Others track sports, 8 ball, 9 ball, billards using cards, snooker, several card games, darts and bowling.

I can iceskate, rollerskate, rollerblade and ride a bike. I've even tried crosscountry skiing.

I may have missed a few things.

My objection to sports is not the skills or the athletes or even the owners of the club's or that they get paid well. Well maybe they get paid too much...

My objection is the lies about the positive aspects of it for the community. Sports returns very little considering it's popularity and finances.

I also object to the fact that in schools sports is often put first to the detriment of everything else.

    That's my objection.
    Afraid of water??
Don't see any aquatic activity in your very long and excellent list!!
I was a soccer kid before moving on to badminton and squash.
One game I did play a bit was a region game 'sepak takraw' a court game with a ratan ball...

This is the brand we use. It's the unsweetened vanilla or unsweetened original for most milk stuffs and the original flavor for the half and half. She wasn't a fan of the chocolate (too sweet).

The main reason I haven't tried pea milk is because I haven't seen it here. I didn't see it the UK either. I've only heard of it via sources in the USA.

I'm quite happy with oat. It does what we need and is easily accessible.

There's two oat products we used to buy in the UK that we can't get here but we're hoping they show up eventually. One is a thick cream the other is a creme fraiche.

I would've thought the company that makes them would've been trying to expand their European business by now due to Brexit. They're a Swedish brand called Oatly.

Just to be clear with regards to the sports thing.

I'm not referring to the athletes. I have no objection to people making a living playing sports. The amount of money they get is questionable...

I'm referring to general culture around sports and the fact major leagues don't really support minor leagues even though they have the money to do so. That's part of my issue. Lots of minor leagues struggle.

As for good stories about sports you can find equally bad stores about sports and it's culture and the negative impacts. There's really no point arguing that one. It would just be back and forth and I really don't want to argue about it.

I personally find no joy in sports and prefer to spend my time and money doing other things I find more fulfilling. That's just me.

Everyone is entitled to do what they want.

Manual mode. Note that it blew the sky out like a Chrissy Tiegen twitter clapback, causing me to tweak the settings pre shot. Also, there's no telephoto access in manual either. 20190915_113154.jpeg20190915_113201.jpeg

All in all, I like LG camera app to use. I know for video I trust it a lot. For stills, I may add on Open Camera here, especially if I can access all lenses. I know that there's some G cam ports with the dual lens and maybe triple lens support, but I ain't trying to do the extras to make those work.

Nice view. It's got that end of the world (at least for Europe anyway) feel to it.

Cannot remember off the top of my head.
I just fiddled with the settings and took the option with the most visible Empire state building and sky.

In other fish news, we've been down to four for the past six weeks. I finally decided to add a digital thermometer and a second secondary light. They dislike the overhead primary lights so I don't use that anymore. So far, they're adjusting to the two lights. I have them both on a late evening kinda orange.

So, Mr. Clue, our teams are 0-4. Maybe they traded the Dolphins defense for future considerations? Meanwhile, in Duvall County, it's another scene of the star DB in a contract year yelling at the head coach. I know Ramsey doesn't like losing, but if he keeps it up, he's not playing for us next year - no matter how talented he is. The Giants look like giants ant eaters.

At least Lamar Jackson looks great. And the Bucs are a .500 team. Carolina looks lost and Drew Brees is hurt. And if the Jets win tomorrow night, Laura might be saying "same old Browns". Hell of a start to the season, eh?

Also realised something about the camera.

In 16:9 the image is zoomed in more than if the setting is 4:3.

I didn't realise this until yesterday when I went to Paris so I probably missed some good pictures at Etretat because of this. I'm not upset by this just annoyed.

I'll show you what I mean. Two pictures taken approximately in the same position. I may have been about 10m apart. I'm not sure but the difference is pretty obvious.

    I'm sure there's an explanation.

Not my best pictures. No editing.

First one is 16:9 second is 4:3.

So some more pics of Paris

We went to the National Middle Ages Museum. It was free while they did some renovation of their main attraction which is a series of tapestries. But they have a Roman bath house located in the bottom that you can explore.
