So now I have three WP phones for myself
810 - unlocked
8X - locked but by end of next week it should be unlocked as well
920 - unlocked

Hmmm...which one should be the daily driver? I know it might be an apples and oranges comparison but...your opinions are welcome...

I would take the 8X any day

Works fine for a 1650 square foot without any issues. Uploading hasn't been too much of a problem. All my pics for the day on the phone get backed up to SkyDrive as soon as I get home. Mostly I use my router for download but haven't seen any problems with uploads as well.

I know not always more money=better performance, but usually $150+ routers are better than $20 routers.

What do you plan to use them for?

If you don't need a ton of storage and a premium audio in a pocketable, the 8X is the choice. If you need more media on the go, the storage of the 810. If you need a good camera and you need everything at once, then go with the 920.

Personally, I use the 8X Monday - Thursday, the 920 Friday - Sunday or for going going out.

That's for you to decide.
